Frequently asked questions
- How long does a first sync take?
- Depends on catalog size and image policy. As a rough guide, a 100,000-SKU catalog without image hosting completes in 1-3 days; with image hosting it is bound by Shopify's image upload throughput.
- Will it overwrite manual edits I make in Shopify?
- Yes: SPT manages the fields it syncs - titles, descriptions, specs, fitment metafields, images, price, and inventory. Modifications to those fields will be overwritten.
- What if a SKU disappears from the source?
- Products can be unpublished or archived when they leave the source or go out of stock.
- Can I run sync against a development store first?
- Yes — you can install on a development store and run a sync against a sample of your data before going live.
- Does it support multiple languages?
- Yes. When you enable target locales, localized product content is synced into Shopify per language, so your storefront can present translated titles, descriptions, and attributes.
- Does SPT work on Shopify Plus?
- Yes. SPT runs on Shopify, Advanced Shopify, and Shopify Plus. SPT is licensed per merchant, per store.
