Price & inventory

Price and inventory updates from the channels you already use.

Drop a price and inventory file on FTP/SFTP, or send it by email. SPT picks it up, transforms it to match your catalog, and bulk-updates Shopify prices and stock levels — then optionally hides anything that just went out of stock.

How it works

  1. 1
    Point at the source

A SFTP/FTP drop or inbound email, with files matched to the right product set by filename template.

  2. 2
    Map the format

A per-supplier transformer maps the file's columns to Shopify price and inventory fields.

  3. 3
    Process on arrival

Files are processed as they land, rate-limited to stay within Shopify API limits.

What you can configure

  • Source: one or more SFTP/FTP drops or inbound email, matched by filename template
  • Per-supplier file transformers — different column layouts, delimiters, and zipped or password-protected archives
  • Bulk price and inventory-quantity updates via Shopify bulk operations
  • Inventory written to your configured Shopify location
  • Auto-publish and auto-unpublish products as they come into and go out of stock
  • Per-row processing so a single bad line does not block the rest of the file

Frequently asked questions

My suppliers all send different formats — is that a problem?
No. Each supplier source can have its own transformer, so different column layouts, delimiters, and even zipped or password-protected files are all handled.
What about line-level errors?
Rows are processed individually — a malformed line does not block the rest of the file.
Can products hide themselves when they sell out?
Yes. When enabled, products are automatically unpublished when their available quantity drops below one and re-published when stock returns.
Which tier includes this?
Automatic Price & Inventory sync is part of the Pro tier ($300/month). The Free tier does not include automatic P&I.
