A quick primer
ACES
Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard. An XML format that ties part numbers to vehicle applications using the AutoCare Association's VCdb and PCdb vocabularies. Answers: which vehicles does this part fit?
PIES
Product Information Exchange Standard. The companion format to ACES. Describes the part itself — attributes, packaging, digital assets, marketing copy, hazmat flags. Answers: what is this part?
