Managed Commerce

Managed commerce for parts manufacturers going direct.

SPT is your commerce partner, not just an app. We run the whole stack on top of Shopify — data and search, inventory, sales tax, ERP, fulfillment, marketing, and support — so your team can sell direct without building a commerce department. B2B and DTC, from one catalog.

  • Built for manufacturers
  • One partner, whole stack
  • B2B + DTC
One stack on Shopify
A partner, not an app

An app is a feature. You need the whole thing run for you.

Selling direct means assembling a storefront, a fitment data layer, inventory and pricing, sales tax, ERP and fulfillment plumbing, marketing, and B2B — then keeping all of it running. That’s a commerce team. Managed Commerce is that team, delivered as one composable service on top of Shopify. Turn on what you need now; add the rest as you grow.

One composable stack, run for you.

Eight capabilities that usually mean eight vendors, integrations, and dev projects — delivered as one offering, all reading from the same source of truth.

01

Platform

Shopify Online Store 2.0 as the foundation, with B2B and DTC running from one catalog — so wholesale accounts and consumers buy from the same source of truth.

02

Data & Search

Your ACES/PIES, ShowMeTheParts, or CSV catalog becomes fast Year-Make-Model search, VIN lookup, and fitment-aware product pages. The data layer the rest of the stack reads from.

03

Inventory & Pricing

Price and inventory synced from FTP/SFTP or email on a schedule, with out-of-stock products auto-hidden so the storefront always reflects what you can actually ship.

04

Sales Tax

We can act as Merchant of Record — collecting, remitting, and reporting US sales tax on your behalf, so going direct doesn’t add a compliance burden to your business.

05

ERP Integration

Catalog, pricing, and orders flow between Shopify and the ERP you already run, so direct sales live in the same systems as the rest of your operation.

06

Fulfillment

Orders routed to your warehouse, 3PL, or distributors by brand or SKU pattern — with the shopper’s selected vehicle traveling along so the right part ships the first time.

07

Marketing Optimized

SEO-preserving migrations, fitment-rich product content, and merchandising built for how parts buyers search — so the store is set up to earn traffic, not just host it.

Support

A managed partner after launch: we monitor syncs, maintain your data feeds, tune search, and roll out new capabilities — so your team doesn’t have to staff a commerce function.

Built for manufacturers

Sell direct without becoming a software company.

You already maintain a clean catalog and ship parts at scale. What you don’t want is to stand up and staff an ecommerce operation to go direct. We bring the platform, the data, the integrations, and the people — so you keep doing what you do, and the direct channel just works. B2B and DTC, from the catalog you already own.

  • One partner accountable for the whole stack
  • B2B accounts, price lists, and net terms alongside DTC
  • Your ERP and fulfillment stay the systems of record
  • Start composable — add capabilities as you grow
Already selling on eBay?

Add direct — don’t replace your marketplaces.

eBay and Amazon are great for reach. They’re also expensive, and the customer they bring is theirs, not yours. A direct channel doesn’t mean walking away from that volume — it means keeping more of every sale and finally owning the relationship behind it.

Run both channels

Direct doesn’t replace eBay or Amazon — it runs alongside them. Keep the marketplace reach, add a store you control, and route orders from every channel to the same fulfillment.

Lower fees, more margin

Marketplace final-value fees often take 10–15% of every sale. Direct, you pay payment processing — typically around 3%. On the same order, that gap is margin you keep.

Own the customer

On a marketplace, the buyer belongs to the marketplace. Direct, you own the email, the order history, and the data — so you can market, cross-sell, and earn the repeat purchase yourself.

Your brand, your experience

Fitment search, enriched product pages, and B2B pricing for trade accounts — a buying experience a marketplace listing can’t offer, on a storefront that looks like you, not the marketplace.

Worried the tax side gets harder off-marketplace? It doesn’t have to — we can act as your Merchant of Record, collecting and remitting US sales tax on your behalf.

How we work with you.

Setup and migration get you live; the partnership keeps you running. The same team carries through from build to ongoing operation.

  1. 1
    Set up

Stand up a new Shopify store end to end — theme, navigation, collections, B2B, and storefront configuration built around how parts buyers shop.

  2. 2
    Migrate

Move an existing store off BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom — products, customers, orders, and URLs, with redirects so SEO and history carry over.

  3. 3
    Integrate

Wire in your data source, inventory and price sync, ERP, fulfillment routing, and sales tax — so the store launches with the whole stack already running.

  4. 4
    Run & support

We operate it with you — monitoring, maintenance, tuning, and new features — as an ongoing managed partnership, not a one-time handoff.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the SPT Shopify app?
The app is one piece — fitment data and search. Managed Commerce is the whole offering: we build or migrate your store and run the full stack on top of Shopify for you (data, inventory, sales tax, ERP, fulfillment, marketing, and support). SPT becomes your commerce partner, not just an app you install.
Who is this built for?
Automotive parts manufacturers going direct-to-consumer and wholesale who want to sell online without building and staffing an internal commerce team. We handle the platform, data, integrations, and ongoing operation.
We already sell on eBay and Amazon. Why go direct?
Direct runs alongside your marketplaces, not instead of them. Marketplace fees often take 10–15% of each sale and the customer stays theirs — direct, you pay roughly 3% in processing and own the email, data, and repeat purchase. Orders from every channel can still route to the same fulfillment, and we can act as your Merchant of Record so the tax side stays simple.
Do you support B2B as well as DTC?
Yes — that is central to the offering. Shopify B2B runs alongside your DTC storefront from the same catalog: company accounts, customer-specific price lists, and net-terms ordering for your wholesale and distributor relationships.
Can you integrate with our ERP and fulfillment?
Yes. Catalog, pricing, and orders sync between Shopify and your ERP, and orders route to your warehouse, 3PL, or distributors in the format each destination expects.
It’s composable — can we start with part of it?
Yes. The stack is modular. Many manufacturers start with a build or migration plus data and search, then layer in sales tax, ERP, fulfillment, and marketing over time. You are never locked into all of it at once.
How is it priced?
Setup and migration are scoped per project; running the stack is a recurring managed engagement sized to your catalog and the pieces you turn on. Book a demo and we’ll learn your business, then propose terms.

Let’s run your direct channel for you.

Tell us about your catalog, your ERP, and whether you’re launching new or migrating. We’ll scope the build, show you the stack, and propose a managed partnership — including B2B and DTC.
